CHERRY
PRUNUS AVIUM
The cherry wood we use is obtained from the bird cherry. Cherry wood has a yellowish-reddish color with beautiful grain and is a sought-after precious wood, the sapwood is yellowish-white. We use North American cherry wood, which is characterized by a more uniform, beautiful color compared to European cherry wood. In addition, European cherry is not available as a timber to be processed, except as a single piece. Cherry is quite light when freshly cut, but darkens greatly over the years to a very nice reddish-brown color.
